TERMS & CONDITIONS (pay attention, this is important)

You must be at least 18 years of age to register for a room. A valid government-issued photo identification or passport is required at check-in. Rates quoted are in U.S. dollars and are based upon your period of stay. Room occupancy limits are set for the comfort and safety of our guests. The hotel reserves the right to evict any additional occupants in the room.

You shall indemnify and hold the Lakeview Motel harmless in respect of any liability, loss, damage, cost and expense of any nature arising out of, and/or in connection with the acceptance of the reservation. The Lakeview Motel shall not be held liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses incurred by you as a result of any cancellation of the reservation by the motel.

The reservation and the terms and conditions set out hereto shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the state of California

TRAVELERS ONLY (no local residents, no weekly or monthly rates)

One of the best things about owning a motel in the Sequoia National Forest is the fact it's a popular pass-through location for travelers from all around the world seeking to experience the natural wonders of the area. From Death Valley to the giant redwood trees at the Trail of 100 Giants, guests from other countries take a moment to pause, rest, refuel, and enjoy the beauty and excitement of the Lake Isabella and the Kern River before venturing on. With this in mind we like to make sure there's rooms available for those out of town and international travelers who may have only a limited opportunity to visit the area and choose to limit the room availability to such travelers. Therefore, the rooms are reserved for use by TRAVELERS only, and reservations originating from local residents are not accepted (no offense to our locals, we love y'all!). Reservations from anyone with an address or ID from the following local areas will not be accepted: LAKE ISABELLA, BODFISH, WOFFORD HEIGHTS, WELDON, MOUNTAIN MESA, SQUIRREL VALLEY, SOUTH LAKE, ONYX

CREDIT CARDS: A credit card or debit card is required to make a reservation. Your card will not be charged until the morning of arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY: There is no fee for cancelling a reservation provided your cancellation request is received by 10pm (2200 hours) the day before you are expected to arrive. If no change/cancellation request is received by 10pm the night before arrival you will be charged for 1 night at the rate corresponding to your reserved room rate and you will forfeit the remainder of your reservation.  IMPORTANT: If you are a  NO SHOW you will be charged the  full reservation amount and the  remainder of the reservation will be forfeited. Our cancellation policy is in full compliance with California State Senate Bill 644

• Cancelling up until 10pm the day before (doesn't matter when the reservation was made):  No charge
• Cancelling the day of arrival:  1 Night Due
• No Show: Full reservation amount due and remainder of the reservation forfeited.

PET POLICY: DOGS ONLY: $20.00 pet fee This is a flat, one-time per reservation fee to cover the cost of additional cleaning time and is NOT charged per night or per dog. 2 dogs maximum. All sizes/breeds welcome. All animals must be supervised at all times and leashed when outside the room. Cats, birds, rodents and other animal types are not allowed due to guests (and staff) with allergies. There is of course no charge for service animals (please note an "emotional support animal" is not the same thing as a "Service Animal".

STOLEN/DAMAGED ITEMS: Stolen items will be charged at full replacement cost plus tax, shipping and handling. Damaged items or damage to the room will be charged at the full cost of repair and/or replacement as needed and will include the cost of labor if necessary.

LOST KEYS:  There will be a $30 fee for all unreturned room key cards.

SMOKING POLICY: All rooms are non-smoking rooms (smoking is acceptable in outdoor areas only). If evidence of smoking is found in the room, a mandatory $250.00 fee will be charged.

PHONE CALL RECORDING CONSENT: All phone calls to/from the Lakeview Motel are recorded for the protection of the motel, motel staff and guests. By making a reservation at the motel you consent to the recording of all calls to/from the motel and it's staff. (this applies ONLY to motel calls, we do not monitor your personal communications)

FREE WIFI INTERNET: The Lakeview Motel wireless internet (“WiFi”) service is a free service to guests provided by the Lakeview Motel. Your access to the Service is completely at the discretion of the Lakeview Motel. Access to the Service may be blocked, suspended, or terminated at any time for any reason including, but not limited to, violation of this Agreement, actions that may lead to liability for the Lakeview Motel, 

disruption of access to other Users or networks, or violation of applicable laws or regulations. Lakeview Motel may revise the terms of service at any time. Please remember: No network communication should be considered private or protected. All communication over Lakeview Motel network is subject to monitoring. Additionally, media and material stored in Lakeview Motel network environment are subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Law. Lakeview Motel reserves the right to reduce throughput or access as need be.

Acceptable Use of the Service. Your use of the Service and any activities conducted online through the 

Service shall not violate any applicable law or regulation or the rights of Lakeview Motel, or any third party. Spamming and Invasion of Privacy of Others, Violating Intellectual Property Law, Transmitting Obscene or 

Indecent Speech or Materials, Transmitting Defamatory or Abusive Language, Hacking or Distribution of 

Internet Viruses, Worms, Trojan Horses, or all other illegal or destructive activities is strictly prohibited. Lakeview Motel cannot accept any responsibility for any injury or loss that results from inaccurate, unsuitable, offensive, or illegal Internet communications.

Disclaimer: you acknowledge (i) that the service may not be uninterrupted or error-free; (ii) that viruses or other harmful applications may be available through the service; (iii) that Lakeview motel does not guarantee the security of the service and that unauthorized third parties may access your computer or files or otherwise monitor your connection. The service and any products or services provided on or in connection with the service are provided on an as is, as available basis without warranties of any kind. All warranties, conditions, representations, indemnities and guarantees with respect to the content or service and the operation, capacity, speed, functionality, qualifications, or capabilities of the services, goods or personnel resources provided hereunder, whether express or implied, arising by law, custom, prior oral or written statements by Lakeview motel, or otherwise (including, but not limited to any warranty of satisfactory quality, merchantability, fitness for particular purpose, title and non-infringement) are hereby overridden, excluded and disclaimed. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, in which case, liability in such jurisdictions shall be limited to the extent permitted by law.

No consequential damages: under no circumstances will Lakeview motel, its suppliers or licensors, or their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates be liable for consequential, indirect, special, punitive or incidental damages or lost profits, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, based on claims of customer, its appointees or its or their customers (including, but not limited to, unauthorized access, damage, or theft of your system or data, claims for loss of goodwill, claims for loss of data, use of or reliance on the service, stoppage of other work or impairment of other assets, or damage caused to equipment or programs from any virus or other harmful application), arising out of breach or failure of express or implied warranty, breach of contract, misrepresentation, negligence, strict liability in tort or otherwise. In no event will the aggregate liability that Lakeview Motel or its officers, directors, employees or volunteers may incur in any action or proceeding exceed. The limitations, exclusions and disclaimers set forth in this section will not apply only if and to the extent that the law or a court of competent jurisdiction requires liability under applicable law beyond and despite these limitations, exclusions and disclaimers.

By reserving a room at the Lakeview Motel you acknowledge you have reviewed all our reservation terms and conditions in it's entirety and agree to all terms stated.
